CORONAVIRUS - MESSAGE FROM OUR MANAGING DIRECTOR

Published: 18th March 2020

CORONAVIRUS - UPDATE

We want to reassure you that Barnsdales are very much open for business during these unprecedented times. We are monitoring the situation, following Government advice and we are implementing procedures to enable us to continue to support and serve our clients as well as safeguarding the health and wellbeing of all members of our staff. We have a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) in place to help minimise any risks and to enable us to continue to provide the service you expect from us. So far and as reasonably possible we continue to keep our offices open and our staff have the necessary IT systems in place to work from home as and when required (indeed many do so already, long before this Pandemic). Our BCP allows us to continue to provide a fully uninterrupted and high-quality service to our clients.

We have resilient infrastructure and fully tested systems which enables us to adopt smart working practices. If you have a meeting scheduled at one of our offices, please contact Barnsdales before arriving to confirm the arrangements. If staff or guests are suffering symptoms described in the latest NHS advice, they should stay at home so we can minimise any risk of infection. In the most part we have cancelled all non-essential meetings and non-essential travel and we are encouraging meetings to take place by way of conference calls. We would encourage you to make these arrangements directly with your contact at Barnsdales. We have also set up procedures to ensure we can safely show people round property they wish to view and so that our valuation and survey teams can continue to operate. Our property auction business Regional Property Auctioneers is putting in place online bidding for our future auctions and this will ensure no one misses out on a property they wish to bid on. Further details of this will be circulated and published on our web site closer to the next auction on the 22nd April.

So to reiterate we are very much open for business and operating almost as normal. We will continue to keep you and all our staff informed as the situation develops. We may make temporary changes to how we deliver our services and we would appreciate your flexibility and understanding during this time.

Should you have any queries please speak with your contact at Barnsdales or email enquiries@barnsdales.co.uk to be put in touch with the relevant department.

Finally, our thoughts go out to those already affected by the outbreak.

Kind Regards

Jason Barnsdale MRICS
MANAGING DIRECTOR
