Hull agents join RPA to reach wider market

Published: 16th May 2017

Five property agents covering the Hull and East Yorkshire area are joining forces with Regional Property Auctioneers (RPA) to reach a wider market for their clients.
The five, who include long-established Marlborough Estate Agents and relative newcomer Symonds & Greenham. Also submitting properties for sale will be MRC Estate & Letting Agents, Zest and Peregrine Property.

The next sale will take place at the Keepmoat Stadium, home of Doncaster Rovers FC, on Wednesday 14 June. Doors open at 1.15 pm and the auction commences at 2pm.
James Vandenbrook, auction manager and valuer at RPA, said the company has strengthened its partnerships with agents across the Yorkshire and Humber region with the result that it is now attracting bidders from all over the country.

Tony Cook, owner of Marlborough Estate Agents, said: “People are definitely looking at Hull as a place that represents good value for investors on the back of the publicity arising from City of Culture and the optimism created by the investment from Siemens.
“Investors are focusing on Hull and this partnership gives them more insight into the local market. We can provide advice and direction to people who are not that familiar with the city and surrounding area.”

Rebecca Dean, manager of Zest added: “Working with RPA takes our properties to a wider audience of people who might not otherwise see our properties.
“The market is very good at the moment and the number of properties that we are selling and renting every month is increasing but we want to keep every option open so we can offer the full range of facilities to our clients. If the general sales market is not working for a particular property, the auction route can be a good option and the process concludes very quickly.”
James said: “Our partnership with Jackson Green and Preston in Grimsby has led to the sale of a variety of properties which would not otherwise have found their way into our auctions, and we are delighted to work with agents in Hull.

“The fact that we are selling properties from around the country means we can also attract buyers from around the country, and we are currently working to strengthen links with estate agents and property owners in other towns and cities.
“We also have a good track record in selling buildings for charities and for local authorities who need to raise money from their property assets.”
